Unfortunately, in many cases, the work rolls and their condition are only recorded to a limited extent by information technology. The operator of the grinding machine often does not receive any information about the reason why a roll was removed from the mill.
Users of Achenbach OPTILINK® now have an advantage. The ‘Rollshop Manager’ offers users simple input options for roll change reasons or damages. In interaction with the overall system, it records running times, rolled passes and loads on the roll.
The information entered is evaluated graphically in various dashboards so that, in addition to a complete history, any accumulations of error types can also be easily detected for each roll. Furthermore, all operators can immediately see which rolls need to be ground, which are in use, and which are ready. Accidental grinding too early can easily be avoided.
Because the rollers are now fully integrated into the digitized process analysis, our customers can now expect additional speed in optimizing productivity and quality.
