Safety starts with awareness

During the commissioning of our machines, occupational safety has top priority – whether on construction sites or within our own factory. Especially in dynamic commissioning phases, many trades work in parallel, often requiring close coordination. This makes clear rules, transparent communication, and safe processes all the more important.

Specifically for our Achenbach OPTIFOIL® slitting machines, we have now developed and implemented a new safety concept together with the responsible representatives of the individual trades – practical and tailored to on-site requirements.

This includes, among other things:
▪️ new, flexible barrier systems that cannot easily be stepped over
▪️ a central commissioning board with an integrated emergency stop switch
▪️ clear identification of who has been instructed and is allowed to enter the area
▪️ personal magnetic name tags for all participants to indicate presence and function
▪️ a clearly visible traffic-light system showing whether commissioning management is on site and which access rules currently apply

The new concept not only improves on-site safety, but also strengthens communication and transparency between all involved parties. Because safety starts with awareness – and with clear processes in day-to-day collaboration.

🎯 Our machines stand for precision. And we pursue exactly this standard during commissioning as well – together, practically, and in a solution-oriented way.

Mit uns die Zukunft entwickeln – Was uns bewegt.
