Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming our customer @IMPOL GROUP for a two-day factory visit at Achenbach. The team took the opportunity to closely review the current status of assembly activities and gain a detailed impression of the project progress. This included quality inspection of the full scope of supply and services, close alignment on logistics planning for the installation phase starting end of June, and the targeted production start in Q4. This new investment reflects IMPOL’s strategy to further enhance production efficiency by adding a modern slitting line alongside existing equipment. Special components such as roll shear slitting cassettes and Achenbach’s patented SCRS single-contact roller system make this slitter a unique and versatile production unit, enabling expansion into narrow slit widths with outstanding slit quality and opening new applications in automotive, architecture, and food packaging. In addition, IMPOL has selected the Achenbach OPTILINK® system for initial use to gain experience with cloud-based machine networking, enabling condition monitoring, remote support, and OEE analysis – with a view to potential future expansion across further machines.
