Recently we received a new order for an upgrade of an Achenbach 4-high Non-Reversing Foil Rolling Mill in India, originally built by Achenbach in 1978 and last modernized in 1995, to most modern standards. The mill, now owned by the Shakambari Group, is to produce first-class aluminium foil for packaging material in the future.
The modernization includes a new Achenbach UniSpray® Coolant Distribution System for high-precision application of the rolling oil in combination with the Achenbach UniFlat® Flatness Measuring Roll for optimized strip flatness control. These are complemented by an Achenbach OPTIROLL® i3 Package for rolling mill automation with efficient model-based control functions such as highly dynamic strip flatness control (Mill Flat) as well as user-friendly visualizations (Mill View).
We are looking forward to this project and working together with the customer in order to optimally position the rolling mill for the future.
