Achenbach OPTIFOIL® Foil slitting machines

As the Specialist, Achenbach is worldwide recognized for its first-class foil slitting machines for doubling, separating and slitting even thinnest foils made from non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper, brass or converting materials. This, along with complete pre-assembly and commissioning in our own workshops, ensures the top quality of OPTIFOIL foil slitting machines and is of key importance with respect to precision and speed of the slitting process. It also supports smooth and rapid final assembly and commissioning at the customer site.

For each new foil slitting machine or those to be modernized, a holistic approach to perfectly synchronize mechanics, hydraulics, automation and drive technology in their complex interaction is applied.

The cloud-based platform Achenbach OPTILINK® opens the way to overall system networking of the various value creation stages and therefore to the optimization of the entire production process.

  • Foil slitting machines for thinnest aluminium foils
Here doublers and SepaSlit separators are used to take the necessary doubling and separating.
  • Foil slitting machines for non-ferrous metals and converting materials
With HeavySlit and JumboSlit slitters a wide range of foils of various thicknesses are slit into 10 mm narrow finish rolls having diameters of up to 2000 mm. The LightSlit is recommended for slitting soft-annealed aluminium foils.
