Achenbach's centuries-old ties to the Siegerland region are evident in the many generations of employees born and raised in the immediate vicinity, as well as in its conscious decision to concentrate the whole development, sales and engineering activities, and portions of manufacturing and assembly locally in Buschhütten.
This deep attachment has created a culture of responsibility within the company that goes beyond its contributions to the economic spehere (Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR). Examples include partnerships with local schools, a cooperation in the matter of a dual study program with the University of Siegen, support for the Apollo-Theater in Siegen as well as for the local TuS Ferndorf handball team. High topical this also includes the initiative to use a 130 year-old undustrial hall complex to establish a Campus Buschhütten focusing on most modern production technology.
