Thus, numerous well-known manufacturers are separating and slitting both single and double-layered battery foils on separators and light-gauge slitters. To expand its market position in this field, Gränges Americas Inc. has now opted for a new state-of-the-art Achenbach SepaSlit separator. The machine, which will be delivered to the Newport site in the USA in the middle of next year, will be equipped with special features in order to meet the high requirements of battery foil in terms of winding and cutting quality such as an optimized slitting section, additional inspection systems as well as special cleaning devices.
