Last Friday we were present at the career orientation day Jump2Job in Netphen. More than 700 students from grades 8 to 13 of the Gymnasium Netphen and the secondary school Netphen took the opportunity to get to know different professional fields and gain practical experience.
The event was organised by the Regional Job Association, N-Flow and the city of Netphen. The concept was based entirely on the motto: "Away from the classic trade fair stand - towards the practical station!"
In various areas, the young people were able to become active themselves at open hands-on stations and try out different areas of activity. Practical skills were also required at our booth:
🔩 Precision: Components used in our rolling mills were measured to the hundredth of a millimetre with a shackle measuring screw.
🖥️ CNC technology: The students were able to get to know the first steps in the programming of a CNC machine and learn how digital specifications are implemented in precise machining.
In addition, at the start of the individual student rounds, employees reported on their personal careers on stage and showed how diverse the paths into the world of work can be. 🎤
We are pleased that we were able to give the young people a practical insight into the world of mechanical and plant engineering and perhaps provide one or two impulses for their professional future.
Many thanks to everyone involved for the organization and this successful day! 🙌
