We are proud to announce, that our former CEO and chairman Axel E. Barten was honoured yesterday with the prestigious award "Preis Deutscher Maschinenbau 2023" for his life's work.
He accepted this special honour - visibly surprised - at a festive awards ceremony on the evening of the Deutscher Maschinenbau-Gipfel in Berlin. The prize is awarded annually by an independent jury of experts and the magazine “Produktion” to an outstanding entrepreneur from the mechanical engineering sector. In his laudatory speech, Claus Wilk, Editor-in-Chief of “Produktion”, emphasised Axel Barten's extraordinary entrepreneurial and voluntary commitment. He mentioned the numerous milestones on the way to becoming a world market leader as the results of his work, as well as his special merits with regard to the promotion of forward-looking educational concepts, as exemplified by the Campus Buschhütten.
The VDMA also congratulated Axel Barten for this well-deserved award, which he has rightly received as a model entrepreneur in the SME sector.
