We are very pleased to announce an order from our long-term customer Dong-Il Aluminium, South Korea, for three new ‘state of the art’ Achenbach OPTIMILL® Foil Rolling Mills, complemented by an Achenbach AIRPURE® Exhaust Air Purification System. With this purchase, the customer is responding to the steadily increasing demand for battery foil, which will be produced on the new rolling mills to 100 percent.
The new mills will be equipped with the latest technology meeting the high demands of the sensitive foil such as the Achenbach UniDry Strip Blow-Off System and the Achenbach UniRon Ironing Roller System as well as Energy Efficient Fume Exhaust Hoods and the newly developed UniBase Rolling Mill Housing Base Plates. Delivery is scheduled for March 2025, with production starting in a brand-new plant in 2026.
In addition to those recently ordered, the customer already operates 5 other rolling mills from Achenbach, the last of which is currently in execution for producing LIB-foil which is supplied to well-known battery manufacturers. We are very happy about the fact, that Dong-Il has once again decided for Achenbach technology which endorses the expertise from Buschhütten as well as the continued trustworthy partnership. We are looking forward to intensifying our cooperation and commonly grow in the practice of executing this inspiring new order.
