We recently welcomed a special group of visitors: members of ALTERAktiv Siegen-Wittgenstein e.V., who were given a glimpse behind the scenes. The name of the association said it all: the nearly 30 participants actively engaged in conversation, asking exciting questions right from the start – for example, about the 4-day week or the women's quota – and discussing with us our more than 570-year history, current developments, and our commitment to research and promoting young talent. During a tour of the plant, they gained further insights into the company and the Buschhütten campus.
For us, it was also an enriching change of pace: instead of the frequent visits from school classes, students, or young professionals, we welcomed a group with very different life and professional experiences. The intergenerational exchange showed us how valuable diversity of perspectives is for lively discussions.
