Achenbach has once again demonstrated its pioneering role in the development of innovative technologies. Recently, a new Exhaust Air Purification System, the Achenbach AIRPURE®, was successfully installed at a long-term customer SAM-A ALUMINIUM Co, Ltd. in South Korea. This plant sets new standards in high-temperature distillation for exhaust air purification and enables efficient separation and recovery of rolling oil.
The AIRPURE® Exhaust Air Purification System was custom-designed to purify the exhaust air from up to 5 rolling mills - all built by Achenbach - with a total volume of 260,000m³/h. In addition to meeting the required exhaust air limits, this plant is particularly characterized by its high-temperature distillation of rolling oils with a boiling point of 300°C. This enables customers such as SAM-A ALUMINIUM Co., Ltd. to completely recover high-boiling rolling oils from the exhaust air purification and return them to the rolling oil cycle.
