Our long-standing customer Constantia Flexibles officially inaugurated the expansion of the rolling mill at its main plant in Constantia Teich at a festive event. The leading manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions is thus pursuing a clear growth strategy and promoting more sustainable, local aluminum foil production. “By expanding the rolling mill, we are increasing aluminum foil production by around 30 percent to up to 90,000 tons of aluminum foil per year, making our largest plant in the Group, Constantia Teich, the largest integrated producer in Europe,” says Daniel J. Winkler, EVP Aluminum Division & Group Sustainability at Constantia Flexibles. “At the same time, we are making a significant contribution to decarbonization and avoiding around 100,000 tons of CO₂ emissions.” Achenbach also played a significant role in the production expansion with the delivery of a state-of-the-art OPTIMILL film rolling mill, together with a state-of-the-art OPTIFOIL SepaSlit slitting line supplemented by OPTIPURE rolling oil filtration and exhaust air purification systems.

The expansion of the rolling mill enables Constantia Teich to increase its capacities, particularly in strategic growth areas such as coffee capsules, pharmaceutical and food packaging. The first commercial production has now started.
