The Achenbach UniFlat® Flatness Measuring Roll is part of the systematically in-house developed integrated automation system Achenbach OPTIROLL® i3 used in all OPTIMILL Rolling Mills. The outstanding market success of this flatness measuring roll is substantially owed to its high-precise measuring technology with at the same time robust design. Flatness measurement with the UniFlat has proven to be successful in aluminium, copper, steel and stainless-steel rolling at strip temperatures of up to 300°C. Due to the modular structure and the evaluation system, the UniFlat® Flatness Measuring Roll can easily be installed as stand-alone solution in non-Achenbach rolling mills as well as in all other systems for slitting or processing of high quality products requiring highest quality flatness measurement and quality recording. Standardized data protocols ensure data exchange between measured value acquisition and the subsequent control system.
