Enthusiasm for technology knows no bounds - not even after work

Our colleague Cornelia Knebel also takes on technical challenges in her free time. With a lot of initiative, she has produced a miniature rolling mill using 3D printing - the perfect challenge for her.

How did it all begin?
She first came into contact with 3D-printed objects through geocaching and developed an enthusiasm for this technology. She gained her first experience at @FabLabSiegen and taught herself the basics of CAD software. She has been using her own 3D printer since 2023.

Facts & figures about the rolling mill project:
📐✏️40 technical drawings
🔩Over 100 components
⏱️60 hours of printing time

Why does Ms. Knebel love 3D printing?
“It's fascinating how much you can create - from prototypes to everyday objects. As the technology grows, so do the possibilities.”
People who work at Achenbach are enthusiastic about taking on technical challenges - both professionally and privately. This attitude promotes our innovative strength and our cooperation. Anyone who is prepared to think outside the box is actively helping to shape the technologies of tomorrow today.
