Class leading rolling mill fume exhaust capability

With Achenbach SES teaming with CECO Busch (part of CECO Environmental Corporation), two global forces have come together to offer class leading Rolling Mill Fume Exhaust capability. A show case project is currently underway at the Constellium Muscle Shoals, AL facility. Constellium is one of the largest global manufacturers of aluminum rolled products. Major Fume Exhaust System upgrades are in progress at their Muscle Sholes aluminum cold rolling mill as a part of their corporate sustainability initiative.
CECO Busch is providing mill hooding, enclosure and PM-2.5 control upgrades along with U.S. manufactured Achenbach AIRPURE® scrubbing towers designed for future VOC control and coolant recovery system. Therefore, expensive rolling oil vapor in the fume exhaust can be captured and reclaimed in a pure form that can be reused in the rolling process repeatedly.
The Achenbach AIRPURE® Exhaust Air Purification System works by capturing up to 95% of the oil vapors in the exhaust, that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, reclaiming 50 to 300+ gallons per day, depending on mill type. When paired with CECO Busch’s rolling mill fume exhaust capabilities, this is a cost-effective return on investment that meets USA EPA emission requirements, a win-win.
