A change is noticeable in the Siegerland region - more and more people are on bicycles, and that even with the Siegerland's well-known Seven Mountains. This is achieved in part to the Velocity public bike rental system, which can now also be found at the Achenbach company in Buschhütten.
The principle is very simple in practice: load the app, register, rent, cycle off, return. The more than 30 rental stations that have been bindingly scheduled now also include the station directly in front of the entrance area of Achenbach. "Nothing stands in the way of a bicycle tour anymore," says Managing Director Sebastian Groos. "Emission-free, flexible, healthy, and thanks to the e-motor, even the Siegerland heights can be conquered in a relaxed manner." Human Resources Manager Dr. Mario Penzkofer adds, "We are very pleased that we will be able to offer our employees certain time allotments for using the e-bikes in the future."
At Velocity, which has been headquartered at the Buschhütten campus since its founding in 2021, they are pleased with the new station sponsorship at Achenbach. "Our concept has met with a very positive response. It's great that we now also have a station right on our own doorstep," says Yara Stahlschmidt, Managing Director of the start-up.
